Last and final destinations

This is it guys. Our last 2 stops on our rockin road trip. The best one yet but not the last. Our next stop was in Lexington, Kentucky. A clean dive in the heart of horse farms which we had to go through beautiful scenic area. Wallace Station. Our healthiest eating diner on our trip.

It was clean and awesome. Lora had the Wild Turkey sandwich while Mike tried the "Big Brown" burger. Great food. Along with a healthier choice over fries, a salad!!!! A salad??? What the heck. But i think we were all sick of fries. Wendy ended up getting the Mediterranean Burger which was full of flavor and Nick ended up getting the Reuben for the second time and it tasted so fresh. Of course, a salad too. The only time on this trip in which we felt healthy and not so full after a meal during this trip.

This place was a nice and busy place full of locals. We did get a few looks but then we got a BIG look thanks to Lora because she had a spider on her. Tell ya though, she should be in a horror film.

Oh and we met the cook that was on the show:

We made her day cause we are the only fans that came that weren't locals. Cool.

Back through the horse farm up to I-75 to Cincinnati we go. Lexington was nice and probably worth a trip back. We still got Pittsburgh on our list but let's checkout Cinci. Two hours later and we discovered a crap town called, well, Cincinnati. Gross.

But we drove around and actually noticed that the areas just outside of Cincinnati is beautiful. We did some shopping of course but we gotta eat. This triple d road trip was to come to an end at Terry's Turf Club for them big burgers. But, a hour wait was not happening for us. Especially Nick and Mike who were getting cranky.

We were quite sad but hey, there is another. Blue Ash Chili.

Now this place was worth it. Seems that whatever you order, you were guaranteed to get your colon cleaned. And i mean it. Everything you ordered had chili on. And it was a great thing. Mike had the Chili Lasagna along with a salad(no chili on it), Lora had the Pulled Pork with chili cheese fries, Nick with the Philly Cheese steak topped off with chili and Wendy getting the Spaghetti  with, CHILI and topped off with, CHEESE. What the heck you ask??? And was the best spaghetti ever. Goodbye Italians. Hello Blue Ash. We all thought our food was the best and definitely worth another trip back here. P.S, we all had chili and we are sharing a, ROOM!!! Someones going down.

Its sad that this has come to an end. But it was a great experience that has probably started a tradition for years to come. We had great food, good drives and a rockin' roll time. We will continue to post pics every time we hit a Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. We recommend you all do a trip like this because this will all be worth it. From Nick, Wendy, Mike and Lora, goodbye and thanks for following us. Home, here we come.

Lunch at Hillbilly Hot Dog

HEE HAW!!! Man was this place rockin. Our fourth stop was Hillbilly Hot Dogs in West Virginia and by far the best stop. They had the 12lb burger, the 5lb burger and a 1lb(total 3.5lb total) Homewrecker hot dog that there was no way that we were gonna eat that. Not after all the food we've eaten the last few days.

This actually the outside of the joint. Typical Redneck hangout.

The laundry hanging outside.

Read the sign again. Sold where??? Love it!!

And Bertha's they are!!!

Just before we hit the inside.

This was inside. Junk everywhere. People were able to sign where ever they wish or leave something there such as pot, hat, shirt, license plate etc.

We placed our order and starting looking around as to where to sit. Ummmm, here??

LOL. This was inside the old school bus in which we could of sat but it was too hot. So we just sat by where you place the order. We just got 2 hot dogs, with fries and soda each. With the exception of Lora getting the chili and cheese fries. Man was this food awesome. Our hot dogs had hillbilly sauce(homemade chili sauce), mustard, onions and ummmmmm, are you ready, ummmmmmmm, COLESLAW(SLAW). Hell ya it was good. The best!!

But what happens when we gotta go to the can??? We enter here:
No worries. It was clean.

His signature.

And ours. We signed at the end of Drive-ins. Everything we didn't expect. But for sure to lure us back. Til next time Billy Bob, HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

Day Three of the Roadtrip

Whew, i don't think we can eat anymore. HELL YA WE CAN. Today, we did a little shopping in southside Pittsburgh which we thought was just a beautiful area. And we did end up going into The Cheesecake Factory. Wait now. We didn't have a cheesecake. No dessert on this trip. Strictly food. We just wanted a coffee because we are missing our TIMMIES. But we are doing fine with other coffees.
This Cheesecake factory was about a half a block in size. Enjoy it Duke. But enough about this factory. Our diner, drive-ins and dive place today was Nadine's in Pittsburgh. And get this, Billy are you ready, we finally met a OWNER!!!!! Thats right. Nadine and her son.
Mike, Wendy, Nadine, Lora and Nick.
Wendy, The Son and Lora.
Mike's BLT.
The women starting to slip here, sharing this Fried Chicken sandwich.
So did i with this HUGE Reuben. Notice no fries!!! Had the salad, thank you.

And now for the ride to our next destination, Charleston, West Virginia. Whats there you ask? Who the heck knows but it was one of the best, scenic drives the four of us has ever seen.
Stay tune for our next Dive at our next destination.
